Today Olivia found her Halloween costume. A butterfly. She has been wearing it all day. I was making lunch when she comes into the kitchen.
Olivia: Mom, I wonder why I can't fly?
Me: Go ask Dad.
Olivia walks back in the kitchen, head hanging down, and her costume is off.
Olivia: Only real butterflies can fly.
Nice Dad! I guess someone had to break it to her!

Awwww.
My niece was so excited to be Tinkerbell for Halloween when she was 3. After she put on the costume, we found out that it was because she thought she could fly once she had the wings on.
Sad! That breaks my heart! But it is kind of hilarious too...
